Artefakt: Munich institution for textile and jewelry design
If you are on the lookout for exceptional jewelry or clothing you might find it in the Munich gallery artefact. In 1992 the artist Birgit Esslinger-Hirner founded her gallery on Hans-Sachs-Strasse, although she has been represented with her coat and jackets sculptures long before in prestigious galleries from New York to Bern. With more than 80 in some cases internationally known jewelry designers, many wonderful exhibitions and her great expertise, Birgit Esslinger-Hirner is known well in jewelry and textile design far beyond Munich.
Her Munich showroom is for jewelers from around the world. This jewelry is made with historical and traditional techniques as well as completely new methods and materials. Together with the enthusiastic jewelry textile and ceramic designer Solveig of Poswik, Birgit Esslinger-Hirner chooses her collections. All creations are individual pieces, the fabric can be painted in any color direction that is selected to match the hair and skin tone of the client. Unusual Knitting Collections and refined, specially tailored garments complete the range.
