My Munich

MY MUNICH is a temporary exhibition, which intervened in the permanent exhibition "Typically Munich". The Munich City Museum asked students of the Ludwig-Maximilians University in Munich to deal with one part of their perception of the city and the other with the museum representation of Munich. The result is a catalog of topics of late modern city - 13 stations in the permanent exhibition interfere with their subjective view the official history of Munich.
They complement the urban Codex in a place that is known for its pre-defined shapes. Interventions exceed the usual boundaries of museum operations and bring new social positions on the place of preservation and preserving.
Through the various interventions Munich is - beyond the clichés and traditions - shown as a place of activities urban environments. The subjective perspectives show the undiscovered facets of Munich and provide an insight view into the diversity of this city.
