Pinakothek der Moderne
The Pinakothek der Moderne, built by Stefan Braunfels is one of the largest worldwide collections of modern and contemporary art, architecture and design in Europe. Under its roof there are four completely separate museums: the Museum of Architecture of the Technical University of Munich, The New Collection - Museum of Applied Arts and Design, The Modern Art Collection of the Bavarian State Painting Collections and the National Graphic Collection in Munich. The Pinakothek der Moderne is closed from 25th February 2013 until September 2013 due to renovation work. With the temporary Exhibition” Schaustelle” the Pinakothek der Moderne established a new place for the four independent collections of contemporary art, graphics, architecture and design.
